Strawberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktail

Need a refreshing poolside drink with fresh ingredients? A chilled Strawberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktail will not disappoint. Whether you are poolside or have been mowing the lawn this summer, this cocktail recipe is fun and satisfying on a hot day.

All you need is some fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and a few basil or mint leaves to take your fruity vodka water up a notch and cool off during the hot summer months! This can also be a “mocktail” just omit the vodka.

Vodka water with some citrus is my go-to drink! I had so much fun making this drink while vacationing in Arizona with some girlfriends. It’s a light refreshing cocktail meant to be enjoyed. If you haven’t ever used edible flowers, you should! The colors are so bright and beautiful, it makes any food or drinks exciting.

Pro Tips for Homemade Cocktails:

Umbrella and edible flowers go a long way for making your cocktails pop!

Insulated cocktail tumblers are awesome.

Simple syrup can be used for so many things including coffee. So you can enjoy your strawberry lemonade vodka cocktail in the evening and a delicious slightly sweet latte in the morning! I love making homemade vanilla syrup.

Strawberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktail Nutrition Info:

Strawberries: strawberries are not just flavorful and sweet, they are a good source of vitamin C, manganese, folate and potassium! I like the puree with pulp in my drink, it’s almost like a smoothie!

Basil: basil is a refreshing herb and actually full of antioxidants. If you haven’t paired strawberry and basil, you’re missing out! Mint is also a great option for this drink so if you have an herb garden, set aside some sprigs for drinks!

Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed is always the best lemon juice but if you are short on time, premade is a great backup. Lemon juice is a decent source of vitamin C and linked to enhancing immune functions!
