Favorite Spots in Denver

Places to Eat & Drink in Denver
Being from Alaska, Denver is one of my favorite cities because it has SOME relatable traits to home. The people are down to earth, the city has outdoor activities and best of all great food!
Let’s Start with Coffee, Shall We?
Stumbled upon this modern, yet cozy coffee house in Wash Park on a bright Saturday morning. The baristas were extremely kind and knowledgeable, letting me take invasive pictures of the most beautiful drip glass coffee maker I had ever seen. The second thing that caught my eye was that they use Kaladi Brother Coffee! If you’re from Alaska, you know this is the best coffee ever and it’s locally roasted in Denver! Wonderful place to meet friends, study, relax with an amazing coffee experience.
Others: Creama Coffee House, Black Eye Coffee, Little Owl Coffee
Brekkie/Brunch…
Best brunch spot located on Colfax, offers an array of Benedict’s, beignets, mac n cheeses and delicious breakfast items. Don’t let me forget the mimosas that come in amazing flavors like spiced pearody and apple pomegranate! Get a flight and try them all! The bloody Mary’s are equally as good. I could talk all day about the delicious creamy cheese sauce on the mac or the perfectly fried dough of the beignets. The great service and eclectic environment make it a true gem.
Others: Lucile’s, Denver Biscuit Company, Root Down, Ophelia’s, Snooze, Syrup, Sam’s No.3, Whol Sol
Places to Eat & Drink…
The station is beautiful and filled with an array of top restaurants. It’s a vibrant, fun place to people watch and socialize while dining out. There are always events going on and it’s a great area to be while exploring Denver.
There is something for everyone! Denver Milk Market is an all-local, all-wonderful mix of take-away and dine-in restaurants and bars run by Colorado chef Frank Bonanno. Denver Milk Market, a 16-venue cornerstone of the historic Dairy Block, aims to draw in travelers, visitors, neighbors and fans to shop a little, drink a little, eat a little and celebrate a lot in the very heart of the Ballpark Neighborhood here in Denver. The atmosphere, food and drinks are incredible! You have to make a stop there and at least talk a walk around. I guarantee you’ll stay for a bit.
On the weekends, this place is always packed (and for good reason). This culinary eating and drinking experience has seven different cuisine options to choose from! There is literally something for everyone. From pizza and burgers to ahi tuna and pho, they’ve got it all. It community dining style, so make friends and get ready to squeeze in together at a table. Definitely, a one of a kind cafeteria style dining experience.
This awesome bar in Lohi, is so much fun! The patio outside has a fire place, picnic tables, chairs to lounge in and games to play. They have great selection of local beers on tap and the bar food is on point. Tots, a delicious salmon salad and a pretzel board, um yes please.  They have a great happy hour and midnight madness special  to top it off. You could go everyday and get something different, there’s so many options!
Can I just tell you, how quaint and delightful this market shop is?! There’s gourmet coffee, baked goods and great selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can’t leave without a dessert. Behind the glass are a wide variety of tarts, cupcakes, peanut butter cups, you name it. The beautiful layers of cakes, cookies and tarts are entrancing. It locally owned and loved in the beautiful little historic neighborhood. Stop in and shop around, you won’t be disappointed.
Others: Denver Chophouse, Osteria Marco
And most importantly, desserts…
O.M.G. this is a must see and eat in Denver. First of all, the ice cream shop is in a 28 foot 14,000 lbs cream can! They make fresh waffle cones and amazingly creative ice cream flavors. The experience is unforgettable and so is every tasty treat I’ve ordered. They give heaping portions for a great price. Be prepared to stand in line, it’s not a secret how good they are! Worth the wait and they have flavors for everyone.
